#BesidesMyDiagnosis

As you may know, I'm part of a lovely community of bloggers, Chronic Illness Bloggers

One of the other members Ness (who you can find at The Girl With Five Lads) came up with a really nice post idea through the means of a tag.
#BesidesMyDiagnosis is a little question and answer idea to share with the aim of showing that although Chronic Illness is inevitably a big part of our lives and there is nothing wrong with that, we are still so much more than a diagnosis.

So here goes!

1. #besidesmydiagnosis the three things about my appearance that I love in the mirror?
My hair. I made a few mistakes with my hair as a teen but I'm now back to my natural colour and the length is almost to my waist!
My figure maybe, I've always been fairly slim and quite tall. And I can't think of a third :P

2. #besidesmydiagnosis the things I have read most are?
I have quite an extensive book collection with an array of different things including young adult stuff like J K Rowling or John Green and also a few classics. But to be honest I'd have to say that my most read type of book over the last few years would have to be my collection of French Literature since my Uni course involves a lot of reading.

3. #besidesmydiagnosis my favourite comfort foods are?
This list could be endless! Anything chocolate related would be my number one, especially Kit Kat Bars. I'm really bad at snacking so crisps and biscuits are quite a common choice of food for me. I love pizza and pasta too.

4. #besidesmydiagnosis my favourite past times are?
Dance. I've been dancing since the age of 7 and its just something I think I'll always enjoy. I can't dance as much as I've done before, but I still go to lessons each week if I can. I really enjoy watching dance too. My other big hobby is watching football, I've been going to matches most weeks since the age of 9 and I love it.

5. #besidesmydiagnosis my biggest accomplishment since illness is?
Although I didn't finish in the time I was supposed to, as I should have graduated last year, I'd probably say doing a degree is a pretty big accomplishment for me. In a few months I should hopefully have a BA in French and Religious Studies.

6. #besidesmydiagnosis I feel my best quality is?
I'm so bad at talking about things like this but I guess I'd say that I'm nice? That's such a cop out but I feel that I'm always quite fair and considerate of others so yeah I'd go with nice.

7. #besidesmydiagnosis my motto/mantra to live by?

 8. #besidesmydiagnosis I would love to travel to?
There are so many places I'd love to visit! I'm going to the US this year which I'm really excited about. I'd love to go back to Belgium though, that's probably the one place I'd say is my top destination in the next few years.

9. #besidesmydiagnosis my guilty pleasure is?
I'm not really that guilty about it but at the minute my favourite thing that would be considered a 'guilty pleasure' is watching wedding shows on TLC. Say Yes to The Dress, I Found The Gown, Say Yes to The Dress Bridesmaids, I could just watch them all day!

10. #besidesmydiagnosis I have many dreams and ambitions such as?
Finishing my degree. Being a Disney Princess. Starting a Masters Degree they're the main ones at the moment.

Thanks for reading!
